About Tracy Caldwell
Want to know about Tracy Caldwell? She created The Fly Diva from her personal desire to “maintain the cuteness” in her own life, and to bring a “touch of glamour” to all women. Having always been interested with beauty and fashion since she was an insecure kid growing up, she has taken her ongoing passion of being a "Diva-Glam Goddess" to not only improve her outside, but her inside as well. Openly admitting as having “self-beautification” as one of her hobbies, she has become a maven on what works and what doesn’t. With a tongue-in-cheek writing style and the personality to match, Tracy doesn’t take herself or life too seriously. She is a true believer that laughter is the real “fountain of youth” and being a diva should be fun.
"Growing up I was never really an ugly duckling, just maybe a second cousin twice removed, nonetheless not being that beautiful swan right out of the gate forced me to work harder at being one, and now keeping it up comes naturally." "As a teenager I was criticized for being dark-skinned, but now that I am older I truly appreciate the radiant glow that my dark oily-skin has given me. I used to hide my forehead under bangs, but after observing models like Iman and singer Sade, I realized that my high-forehead was a symbol of regal beauty and elegance."
"As a kid I always had to watch my weight, now after years of yo-yo dieting and bad eating habits, I
finally figured out that physical activity and a healthy diet was better for both my figure and my
overall health. I also learned the importance of having spirituality and peace in one's life, and
that you can't have one without the other."
"As I stated before my mother was and still is one of my biggest fashion and style influences. Whether for work, home or otherwise, she is always impeccably dressed and accessorized." "Growing up she would always dress me in the cutest pant suits, dresses and coordinating “Winnie the Pooh” outfits with matching hair barrettes and ribbons. Which didn't always win me a lot of friends at school sometimes, but it helped me develop my own personal style at an early age." "My mom is also a great seamstress and would make many of our clothes herself. She also has a great eye when it comes to coordinating colors, fabrics and accessories, and after years of watching and emulating her style, I am proud to say that I have inherited the same trait."
"Anyway I hope that this brings a little more insight into my background as I embrace my new role as
The Fly Diva. By the way, I am also a recovering shopalcholic who does relapse every now and again,
but I am working on it."
