Animal Print Designs

Bring Out the Animal in Your Look

Leopard Print Outfit

Animal print designs are great, but remember when the whole leopard thing was in? Women were buying everything with a leopard design on it. The problem was they would wear them all at once. I once saw a woman with a leopard coat, shoes, bag, jewelry and leggings. It looked like a cheetah “threw-up” on her.

The secret to wearing animal print designs is “simplicity” animal patterns are very bold, so they should be worn on basic items such as a top or a shift dress. However, a great looking animal print jacket and skirt will definitely turn heads.

Pair this look with a sexy lace tunic and you have a look that can take you from the office to a night out on the town. You can even take the glam up a notch with some black patent leather heels and accessories.

If you want to keep it simple try wearing just one animal print piece like a coat, jacket or top with some great accessories like a scarf, hat or bag. I have seen some amazing pashminas in leopard, tiger, zebra and even python!

And they don’t have to match exactly, finding colors or designs that compliment each other can really make your prints pop. Red looks great with black and white zebra prints, and pale turquoise looks beautiful when paired with warm leopard and tiger designs.

Tribal Designs

Tribal Accessories The wildly, eclectic tribal designs of the summer are also being spotted as we move into fall. Vibrant colors accented with primitive designs add a splash of excitement to this years collections. Give your wardrobe an exotic upgrade with African, South American and safari inspired styles.

Again look for designs that compliment your style. Too many bold prints and accessories can overload your look and make you look "clunky." If you prefer a more understated look with an exotic flavor, try unique tribal accessories like wooden beads, bold bangels, raffia purses and shoes made from rich earth-toned leathers or animal skins.

Animal Inspired Jewlery

You have seen them in the wild and on the runways now they are showing up on a variety of jewlery pieces. Look for tribal inspired bangles, pendants, necklaces, watches, cuffs, bracelets, ring and earring designs to compliment your wardrobe.

Don't let fear hold you back, experiement with various looks and designs, you will find that just a few simple elements can really make an impact. So let loose and go "wild" this fall.
