She's the Boss - Is Entrepreneurship in Your Future?
Did you ever want to be an entrepreneur but weren’t sure if you could cut it? Ever since college I have been a serial “job
hopper,” within a year or two of starting a new position I would always get the “itch” to quit. If it wasn’t bad management, it was just sheer boredom. No matter what the cause or reason, I was OUT!
At first, I thought that something was wrong with me, that I needed more focus or maybe work on my interpersonal skills.
However, I soon learned that my ongoing job dissatisfaction actually stemmed from several things, the main one being a
constant desire to try new things and the need to be in control. Two traits commonly found in entrepreneurs.

Do you identify with some of the same traits? If so, a change might be in order. Find out if you have what it takes to be
your own boss. You just may surprise yourself. Some of the characteristics of an entrepreneur include:
Strong Leadership Abilities
Always the head and not the tail, most entrepreneurs are inspiring, natural born leaders with an innate desire to be in control of their own destiny.
Hard Worker
Entrepreneurs have a strong work ethic and they work tirelessly in the pursuit of their goals. They are usually the first ones in and the last ones left after everyone else has gone home.
Visionary
Always sees the big picture, an abstract thinker who doesn’t like to get too involved in the details. Likes to leave that to the more qualified. Dreams big and in color!
Problem Solver
Creative thinker with an ability to create practical solutions to what many would consider unsolvable problems.
Risk Taker
Entrepreneurs are not afraid of pushing the envelope now and then. They are adventurous by nature, but they never go into anything blindly.

Energetic
Most entrepreneurs have what many call an “infectious energy” with the unique ability to instill excitement into projects and their interactions with others.
Innovative
Entrepreneurs usually have their hands in several things. Most will start several businesses over their lifetime. Never satisfied with just laying on their laurels, they are always looking for the next big thing.
Delegator
No micro-managers here, entrepreneurs like to be in control of what they feel comfortable with. And what they don’t, they delegate to someone who does.
Thick Skinned
Rejection is a part of being an entrepreneur. Whenever you try to do something different, there are always going to be “haters” waiting to kill your dream. True entrepreneurs stick to their guns in spite of the opposition.
Self-Confident
Most entrepreneurs are very sure of themselves and have no uncertainty about their own abilities. They know what they want and won’t be told otherwise.
Empowering
Surprisingly generous and encouraging by nature, many entrepreneurs also serve as great mentors, desiring for
others to succeed as well.
